Who Is the Owner of Aqua Boxing Glove?
Former grave-digger and professional boxer Tony Tokumbo Adeniran is the inventor of the Aqua Boxing Glove.
The Super Middle Division Pro boxer is a native of Houston, Texas. He debuted his boxing career in 2014 and was active in the ring until 2019. Tony is also a certified USA boxing coach who graduated from the University of Texas with a business management degree.
He now resides in San Antonio, Texas, where he owns and operates a boxing gym called Black Stallion Boxing Plus.
Why Is Aqua Boxing Glove So Popular?
The popularity of the Aqua Boxing Glove lies in its simplicity, effectiveness, and ease of use.
Aqua Boxing Gloves simply require that you add up to one pound of water in each glove, strap them up like traditional boxing gloves, and you can easily start training anywhere, anytime with appropriate supervision and guidance from a certified coach or training program.
Unlike regular weighted boxing gloves, Aqua Boxing Glove users will not experience chaffing, sagging, or extra pressure on their wrists because a user’s movement redistributes water responsively to provide instant resistance.
Shark Tank Appearance – Did It Go Through?
The Aqua Boxing Glove made its hopeful and energetic Shark Tank debut on Episode 24 of Season 13 in May 2022.
While the Aqua Boxing Glove already had $40,000 in pre-orders at the time of filming, this fact wasn’t enough for Tony to convince any the Sharks to invest in his project–not even guest Shark Kevin Hart who is an avid boxer in his spare time.
Where Is Aqua Boxing Glove Today?
As of July 2022, the Kickstarter campaign for the Aqua Boxing Glove has been backed by 151 backers.
Tony regularly updates his backers and recently posted a message thanking them for their patience in light of the supply chain challenges that arose.
Tony recently launched a website for the Aqua Boxing Glove that features sponsored athletes Rudy Gay, Patricio O’Ward, Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, and Joshua Franco as official supporters of the product.
In addition to the Aqua Boxing Glove, the website lists a carrying sports duffel bag and polyester quick hand wraps all available on pre-order.
Conclusion
While the Aqua Boxing Gloves is a promising fitness invention and Tony came to the Shark Tank swinging, it looks like more work is needed to bring it to the world.
Let’s cross our fingers that Tony figures out the supply chain issues and production delays quickly so that we can experience the benefits of this no-impact resistance product.
