How Was The Brake Free Idea Born?
The Brake Free company started when the founders, Henry Li and Alex Arkhangelskiy, wanted to create inexpensive motorcycle safety gear. The wanted to create safety gear that can also be stylish and functional.
The product is designed to help motorcyclists stay safe on the road and help other cars see the motocycle’s brake lights. Henry and Alex are both motorcycle enthusiasts, so for them, this seemed like the perfect business idea.
What Offer Did They Walk Away With After Their Shark Tank Episode?
Henry and Alex went on to the show with the hopes of getting a deal of at least $200,000 for 10% equity in the company.
They pitch went really well and to their surprise, both Robert Herjavec and Mark Cuban were interested in making a deal with them. They teamed up and offered Henry and Alex $200,000 for 20% equity in the company.
The founders were more than happy with the offer and accepted. They happily left Shark Tank with a deal!

Since their Shark Tank episode, the Brake free company has had a lot of success. in January 2021, the company won the MIC Gas Tank Award at the AIMExpo.
After the show the company was out of stock for a while which showed just how popular they became!
