What Does The Buckle Me Baby Coats Company Do?

Buckle Me Baby Coats sells baby coats that fit in perfectly with your car’s seatbelt. Their baby coats are designed to look exactly like the traditional puffy jackets with all of the cozy pockets and fur-lined hoods.

What makes their baby coats so unique is the seatbelt feature. Parents can easily buckle up their children this way and can know that they are safe.

How Was The Buckle Me Baby Coats Idea Born?

Just like a lot of small businesses, Buckle Me Baby Coats started out of a personal experience.  The company founder, Dahlia Rizk is a mom of three and was constantly concerned about her children’s safety while driving, especially in winter times.

She said it was a big concern for her when a Child Passenger Safety Technician told her that she should remove her child’s puffy jacket before buckling them up.

Just then, she had an idea to start a company that will help a lot of moms in the same situation. Buckle Me Baby Coats was born and today she sells coats that will allow children to be buckled up while staying warm!

What Offer Did They Walk Away With After Their Shark Tank Episode?

Dahlia Rizk went on to the SharkTank show with the hopes of scoring a deal of at least $100,000 and 10% equity of the company.

To Dahlia’s luck, the Shark, Daymond John is a father of a toddler and he immediately bought into her story and business concept.  The clothing retail guru offered Dahlia a deal of $100,000 for 20% equity of the company and 30% of all licensing deals, which he will help negotiate.

Where Is Buckle Me Baby Coats Today?

The Buckle Me Baby Coats company started in Dahlia’s home, but after her successful SharkTank episode, the business expanded.

Buckle Me Baby Coats now has a warehouse, an online store, and a market. Their products are also available on Amazon and can be delivered straight to your door.
