Muddy Water Camo is a company that was designed to make camo that is virtually impossible to see through a camera, especially in marshy areas while hunting for ducks.

This makes it easier for the hunter to get around in any area and was one of the first of its kind.

The new material stood out from some of the other camos on the market because it provided protection and allowed for hiding from water fowl rather than deer.

Who is Steve Maloney?

Steve Maloney is a veteran duck hunter for more than 30 years.

Through that time, he kept up with all of the newest in camo designs, but he felt that there could be a better design for this type of hunting.

As a wildlife photographer, Maloney wanted to be able to match into the environment around him in order to hide from wildlife and get some of the best images possible out there.

He noticed that most of the big names in camo had one major issue, they were meant for hiding from deer, but not great for hiding in the marshes away from birds. That is where is idea began.

What Happened During the Pitch?

Initially, all of The Sharks were interested in this product, seeing it as a good choice for hunters, even if not all of them were hunters.

Mark Cuban understood that this was an innovative product but was a little concerned that the company already has 16 investors, which would push him out of the game quickly.

Daymond John also saw potential but thought that the $3 million valuation for the company was too high and too risky for them.

Robert Herjavec felt the same way. Lorie Griener felt that they would be able to sell the product, but the amount they were asking for was too high.

Kevin O’Leary did not want to do the original deal but thought that they could do well with a licensing strategy and then giving the camo to other big brands.

He offers to work on this with them for $150,000 for 20% stake in the company. The owner of the company decline the offer and O’Leary bows out.
