Pelagion brought the Hydroblade, the world’s first stand-up electric hydromobile with steering, to Shark Tank. Despite $2 million in previous year revenue, the $25,000 price tag and prototype stage scared off every Shark.
What Is Pelagion?
Pelagion makes the Hydroblade, a stand-up electric watercraft that offers four hours of silent operation at speeds up to 40 mph. Each unit costs $12,500 to produce and retails for $25,000. The company was founded in 2021 by Jamie Schlinkmann and Mike Terry.
The Shark Tank Pitch
Jamie Schlinkmann and Mike Terry pitched on Episode 1 of Season 17. They had 19 pre-orders and $1 million in 2025 revenue to date. However, the product was still in prototype stage with full production expected later in 2025.
The Deal
No deal. None of the Sharks felt comfortable investing in a product that was still at the prototype stage with such a high consumer price point.
